Joyce Manor have announced a followup to 2014’s excellent Never Hungover Again, one of our favorite albums of that year. It’s called Cody, and it’ll be out on October 7 via Epitaph. It was produced by Rob Schnapf, who’s done several Elliott Smith albums and also worked with Beck, The Anniversary, and more. The lead single is “Fake I.D.,” which is the kind of jangly punk-ish rocker that Joyce Manor do so well, and it has us very excited to hear the rest of this album. It’s also got references to Kanye West.
